Bramble Cottage, Winkfield Row, Berkshire
High-Impact Refurbishment – Bramble Cottage Redeveloped for £1M Sale
In just three months, Bramble Cottage was transformed from an uninhabitable wreck into a desirable, fully refurbished home. Overgrown, structurally compromised, and far from liveable, the house had trees growing inside it. But beneath the chaos, we saw potential.
We purchased the property for £600,000 and, following the renovation, listed it for £1,000,000 — a significant uplift in value and proof of what a strategic refurb can achieve.

Overview
Bramble Cottage was one of our private hobby developments — a passion project that tested our speed, skill, and creative eye. The property, a severely neglected four-bedroom cottage in Winkfield Row, presented both a challenge and an opportunity.
As this was an in-house project, the brief was simple: take a derelict property and transform it into a beautiful, high-value home — all within a tight 12-week turnaround. Our goal was to maximise resale value while showcasing what can be achieved with vision and the right team.
Challenge
The condition of Bramble Cottage was extreme. Nature had crept inside — with trees literally growing within the structure. It had suffered years of neglect and required full gutting. The challenge was not just structural, but also logistical: to complete a full refurbishment and list the property on the market within just 12 weeks.
Solution
We stripped the property back to its bare bones, removed all overgrowth, and implemented a comprehensive renovation plan. This included:
Landscaping to restore kerb appeal
Structural repairs
Full internal reconfiguration
Modernised finishes with timeless design
Our team worked around the clock to meet the ambitious 12-week schedule. We adopted a streamlined project management approach, coordinating trades tightly and ordering materials in advance to avoid delays. This efficient workflow ensured each stage of the refurb moved seamlessly into the next.
